If you don’t know who that is, you will VERY soon. This hip hop vixen and Young Money artist is currently generating a lot of buzz and killing the mixtape scene with her latest entitled, Beam Me Up Scotty. But it’s her larger than life persona that’s going to set her apart from every other female rapper thus far.

If there was a word to describe Nicki’s fashion style it would definitely be MATTEL. Her "Harajuki Barbie" style is eye-catching; men are mesmerized by her CRAZY womanly curves, and women can appreciate her sexy, confident—yet NOT PROMISCUOUS—lyrical content and love for everything girly and pink.

In a recent interview with Honey Magazine, Nicki speaks on perfecting the image she wants to portray so she really sets her self apart from the rest.

When you’re an artist, image is everything. There’s alot of people with ill lyrics, but if you don’t have a persona that can carry your music, don’t expect anyone to pay attention.

I truly believe Nicki Minaj is on her way to achieving that. Her flow, persona and stage presence is borderline cartoon and she is really coming into her own as an artist. Hip hop world—be on the look out, 2010 will be the Year of the Barbie. (You heard it here first …)
