Rihanna Weekly: Week of October 16th, 2009

Rihanna done switched it up on us! Instead of roaming the streets of New York aimlessly, our favorite pedestrian is now roaming for a reason!

Her new album THE WAIT IS OVA will be in stores November 23rd. So the overkill promotions all over the web will start from today with the release of her new single “Russian Roulette,” which was produced and written by singer/songwriter NeYo.

Rih Rih has some TOUGH competition for the number one slot on 11/23. Other album releases for that date include: 50 Cent, Britney Spears, Adam Lambert (American Idol), and Lady Gaga. The question is, will Rihanna’s oversaturated image that’s been “Louboutin stompin’ ” all over the pavements this past summer hinder or help her album sales? *shrugs*

On October 16th, Rihanna filmed her new video in—of course—NYC. Here she is rocking black ripped jeans, black bustier, and a chinchilla to match (does PETA know about this?)

I ADORE this Pea Jacket she’s rocking. I can do without the Sagat eye patch though. (Shoutout to the Street Fighter heads who know who I’m talking about lol.)

On October 17th, Rihanna arrives at a recording studio in Chelsea. The separate pieces of this ensemble, I like. Altogether, no.

Leaving another recording studio on October 19th. I see she really likes that Alexander Wang duffle (so do I!).
