Vivienne Westwood Gets “Homeless Chic” For Milan’s Fashion Week
I absolutely adore when a designer takes their imagination on another plateau to present their new collection to the masses; and Vivienne Westwood certainly did not disappoint this past week with her new men’s line for Fall 2010.
Homeless Chic was the theme of her show, and the risk she took to execute it was a big one. I love her for thinking outside the box, but I couldn’t help but chuckle at the gorgeous male models walking with shopping carts on a runway adorned with cardboard and duct tape.
At the end of the show, Vivienne was wheeled out on a paramedic stretcher as she received praise and applause from the audience. A truevisionary indeed.
